Christian's Story
A Faith That Still Speaks

Although Christian spent just 16 years on this earth, his life was profoundly anchored in his faith in Jesus and trust in Gods Word and promises.

He was a normal teenage boy in so many ways. He was goofy, he made mistakes, he played video games and basketball, wrestled with his sister, and yes, - he occasionally found himself in trouble.

But there was also something deeply rooted in Christian's heart: his faith in Jesus. He loved God's Word, he trusted what God said, and he genuinely wanted other people to know Jesus too.

Christian was active in his church and youth group and often invited friends to come with him. He encouraged others to read the Bible and pray and he loved worshipping God.

At church camp Christian once said: "Even when we don't "feel" like worshipping God, He is still worthy of our worship." His strong convictions were evident in both his words and actions, reflecting the depth of his faith.
Longing for His Creator
From a young age, Christian possessed a deep understanding of heaven and eternity. As a little boy, he often exclaimed, "Mom, I can't wait to get to heaven!"

By the time he turned 12, he began documenting his thoughts and experiences with God in a diary, capturing insights from his Bible readings and moments in prayer.

One diary entry, titled Going to Heaven, as seen in picture, revealed his deep longing to be with God. He even prayed for God to take him "up early," reflecting his desire to be in the presence of his Creator.

In that heartfelt entry, he pleaded for us that if he were to go "up early," to not be sad but we should just know he is now living in peace with his Heavenly Father.

His writings showed a faith beyond his years, he trusted God and wanted others to know the same peace he did.
His Message for Us
Christian left behind profound words, as captured in the photo, that reveal his heart and faith. This treasured message, discovered on his phone when he was just 14, hinted at his intuition about the future:

"Just remember, I'm in paradise if I die..." In the closing lines of that message, he expressed his love for God and for others: "Love each other, but most importantly, love God."

A few days before Christian's accident and he went home to heaven, we had a conversation in the kitchen. He said something that resonated deeply:

"But Mom, to die is gain!" He was quoting Philippians 1:21, highlighting that for him, living meant Christ, and dying was a profound GAIN. I remember pausing when he said that, reflecting, "That's true." I acknowledged it, though I hoped that such a moment would be far off for all of us.

Christian often quoted scripture, reminding me "Mom, our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit," or "The Bible says do not be unequally yoked," or "Mom, the Bible says do not worry." The concept of eternity was always at the forefront of Christian's thoughts, and those words " to die is GAIN" have since become a significant part of our logo.

Christian's story is one of a young life defined by unwavering faith and trust in God. Though his time on this earth was brief, the faith he embodied continues to resonate and inspire.

More than anything Christian wanted people to know God. That was the desire of his heart and it was one of the last things that he shared with me. It is my prayer that his story will continue to point hearts to Jesus.
